Do you know AI?
I recently completed a couple free online AI courses. Now I know something about AI and it’s part of my job, but everything I know has been picked up hands-on or adapted from other learning. I haven’t taken a course of any type so I was curious and thought I’d check it out. Even though they were introductory level and I can’t say I learned anything Earth shattering, I did find a few tips and gained a different perspective.
There are lots of courses available from several sources and I recommend trying one out. True believer or skeptic, it’s good to know what’s out there and inform yourself so you can make the best decisions for you.
Since we’re on the subject of AI…
To be fair, AI can hallucinate, but so do people.
What do you expect from LinkedIn?
Somebody on LinkedIn listed their criteria for accepting connection requests. Among them, he would only approve a request from people directly matching his ICP and with decision-making job titles. My takeaway: he has no use for you unless there’s a chance of getting your money.
Is that all there is to LinkedIn? What about expanding your network, getting different perspectives, learning something new, sharing, or forming friendships? Is there room for slowing building trust or only for a quick deal?
Hack for happier employees.
Are your employees unhappy? Do they have an attitude problem?
Just create a policy or put up a sign and the problem is solved. Some people really think it’s that simple.
The wisdom of Tombstone.
Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer) has some great lines in the movie Tombstone. One of my favorites: “There is no normal life, there’s just life. Now get on with it.”
Thanks for reading and as a special thank you, I have a bid/no bid checklist available for download. I created it for bidding on contracts, but it might also be useful for other types of work. I’ll leave it up for free for another week or so.

Thanks S.B.
